It can feel discouraging when a client doesn’t respond to your initial messages, but remember that this is a Practice Reading platform designed for your growth and development. Here’s how to handle unresponsive clients while still gaining value from the reading experience.
Step 1: Give the Benefit of the Doubt
Life gets busy, and sometimes clients may not respond right away. Allow at least 3-4 days for your client to reply. Keep in mind:
- Email notifications can get lost in spam or promotions folders.
- Many clients may be unfamiliar with how Practice Readings work and might assume they should wait for their completed reading without interaction.
Step 2: Decide How to Proceed
If you still don’t hear back, the choice is yours. We recommend completing the reading regardless of client responsiveness. Here’s why:
- Focus on Growth: Every reading is an opportunity to practice your skills, refine your intuition, and build confidence.
- Reframe the Experience: Shift your mindset from needing client feedback to valuing the reading itself as a chance to learn and evolve.
- Use the Information Provided: If the client’s question or details are clear enough, move forward with the request. If not, consider reframing the question or performing a general reading based on the situation.
Step 3: Communicate Thoughtfully
When submitting your reading, you can let the client know:
- You chose to proceed in their best interest since they didn’t respond.
- The reading was crafted to provide guidance based on the information available.
For example:
"Hi [Client's Name], I wanted to ensure you received your reading in a timely manner, so I moved forward based on the details you provided. I hope it offers helpful insights. Feel free to let me know if you have any feedback!"
Step 4: What If You Decide Not to Complete the Reading?
If you feel unable to complete the reading due to lack of information or other reasons:
- Write to the Client: Let them know kindly and professionally that you’re unable to proceed without further input.
- Leave the Reading as ‘In Progress’: It will automatically cancel after 14 days.
This approach ensures clarity and respect for both you and the client.
When You Don't Receive Feedback
